I'm back! After a HUGE hiatus. Mainly due to University deciding that it hates me and doesn't want any one to graduate from my degree. I went for nearly a year without doing any make-up at all! But I'm back and I've been looking at various nail blogs and figured I might as well start posting once or twice a week for no real reason.
So let's have some flower nails to get the blog started again.
Now I'm not sure why but my Seche Vite top coat has randomly started to turn this nail polish a red-ish colour in some parts. It confuses me greatly.
So we've got American Apparel - Hassid as the base colour, China Glaze -Solar Flare as the flower petals, a combination of Nubar - Reclaim and China Glaze - Paper Chasing as the green leaves, China Glaze - GR8 as a highlight and a random, no name white for accents.
Start by doing the under/base colour, then the petals, leaves, centre of the flower, then finish off with the white highlights and any other accents you think might look good. I had the flowers in different positions on the nail mainly because my nails are different lengths.
I did get the inspiration for this design from some where on the internet, but these are my nails and my interpretation of that design. I'm also not nearly as good as the original artist.

Sparkly gunmetal
So this another older manicure that I've had saved waiting to be posted. Every time I look at my nails at the moment I feel sad because they are so short.
Also I've found that as much as I love some of the Color Club colours they really don't have the same staying power as China Glaze. My absolute favourite colour of all time is Color Club and every time I wear it I can barely make it last for the 7 days I like to wear a manicure for. The most recent one I've tired is Fashion Addict and it's already chipped and peeling 4 days in.
Oh well.
I really liked how sparkly this manicure was. You can't see it in the pictures but it is SUPER sparkly.
I've used: OPI - Suzi Skis in the Pyrenees Suede, with a silver glitter art deco nail art on the corner with China Glaze - Nova over that. Then topped off with a top coat.

Buggity Bug
Everyone loves lady beetles! Having them as nails is even cooler than keeping one as a pet.
Well, I thought it was really cute. I had tried to do bug nails before I eventually did this one. This one was my first really good attempt but I had done it with white eyes previously. I like the yellow eyes better, but I love googly eyes that I have done (use the Bugs tag to find it).
I used OPI - Crimson Carol for the red and just a regular black Art Deco nail art polish for the black. I used the brush for everything but the dots. I used a dotting tool for the dots. Fairly easy. The eyes were just from a really cheap wheel thing I got from ebay.
